BBC Newsbeat have me in a fuckin’ rage. 

They’re talking about the certification of music videos in the UK (like with films, or like a lot of kpop music videos). And of course, OF COURSE, the examples of songs they pick are the songs in which women own/exhibit their own bodies and sexuality. 

They’re examples were JLO’s new one, Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj’s Anaconda. They ONLY discussed the sexual aspect of these certification, and exclusively focused on these few tracks. No mention about violent images, no mentions of sexist/racist ideologies being censored, nothing. 

Because god forbid women consensually display their bodies.
